Thursday
We flew from Seattle to Maui with Chris, Ryan & Andrew on Hawaiian Airlines. We left Seattle at 10:15 am and arrived at around 1 pm. Cody and Stephanie and the kids left from Vegas and will meet us in Maui. Our whole family together in Hawaii for two weeks! This will be so wonderful!! Hopefully we’ll build memories to last forever. I love my family. ❤️ We ate lunch with the boys at the Ale House in Maui. We went to Walmart and stocked up on snacks etc. then headed over to the airport and picked up Cody and Stephanie and the kids. We all went to Costco for stuff then headed over to our hotel The Westin Resort and Spa and checked in. We all hit the pool & beach and walked around the resort for a while.

Friday
We ate breakfast and headed for the Road to Hana. We’ve done this 3 others times but had a blast with all the family! On the way back we stopped at an area with a couple food trucks and ate and had ice cream. It was really good. The narrow and sharp turns for a couple hours going back got real old since we were all pooped!! It was a super fun day though. Tomorrow we relax at the resort and beach. Andrew didn’t feel very good after we ate at the food trucks. The food was great so it wasn’t the food.
Seven Sacred pools. It was closed because of falling rocks so that was a disappointment but we walked to it anyway.

We went down to Whalers Village and had breakfast then headed out to all the pool at our resort and the beach. We just hung out today with everybody. It was very relaxing and so much fun with all the family together! We walked around and shopped in Whalers Village. We ate dinner at Relish across from the ocean and watched the sunset. The food was really good and so was the dessert.

We went to church in Maui it was packed! We sat in the back and had views of the ocean during sacrament. It was beautiful! Andrew still wasn’t feeling good he pretty much diagnosed himself with hand, foot and mouth disease, he googled it. He has little blisters all over his hands and feet still wasn’t feeling really good so we took him to the urgent care. Well that’s what he had! He got some painkillers and stuff for his throat. We had to cancel his trip to Molokini which really was horrible because that’s what he really wanted to do. He rested at the hotel and we all hung out at the resort most of the day. We went to Lahaina and went to dinner. Kru was so tired he fell asleep at the table. He wasn't feeling well he slept almost all day in the room. He was so busy in the ocean and in the pool, I think he just didn’t drink enough and he probably got heat exhaustion. We were hoping it wasn’t what Andrew has.

Mike, Cody, Andrew, Chris, Kai, and Taylor went down to Black Rock to snorkel and saw a turtle and an Eel. They said there were a ton of fish. They said it was very cool! Mike said Taylor and Kai were absolutely loving it. Stephanie and I hung out at the pool for a bit then walked down to Black Rock. We all went back to the hotel and got ready to check out. We stopped in Lahaina for lunch at the Lahaina Pizza Co. We are now heading to Oahu for five days!

We landed in Oahu last night around 6pm. We got our two rental cars and headed to the hotel. We walked along Waikiki and got some dinner we were all pretty tired. We headed down to Waikiki Beach. Kai did some surfing for the first time and loved it. We stayed for quite awhile then headed back to the pool. We walked down to Waikiki for dinner later. We all swam again at the hotel until around 9:30 pm. It was a fun and relaxing day. Tomorrow we are heading to Lani Kai, Sandy Beach and a few other beaches and places.

Friday
We ate breakfast at the hotel. We went to Safeway last night and stocked up with milk, cereal and some snacks. Saves us on breakfast money and time. We stopped at Snorkel Bobs and got snorkel gear for those that needed it and chairs then headed to Lani Kai. It's such a beautiful beach!!
We had a lot of fun The water was perfect and we stayed in the water a long time. We ate lunch and drove over to the Byodo-In-Temple. (Kai said later it was one of his favorite things in Hawaii.) The Temple was so beautiful we also stopped for a while at the LDS Temple. We headed over to Sandy Beach and watched. It was fun to watch all the locals. This is one of the most dangerous beaches in Hawaii because of the huge waves and undercurrents. The life guards usually tell people to not go in unless you are experienced. Chris and Cody went in and of course I was NERVOUS! 😊 We went back to the hotel and showered and went to Hard Rock for dinner.

Happy Birthday dad! Heading to the North Shore today! Stayed at Waimea Beach most of the day. Then had lunch at a food truck. We ate at Giovanni's Shrimp truck it was sooo good! Everyone else ate at other trucks they all said it was super good! I bought a super cute cover up. We headed back to the hotel and hung out at the pool then hit Waikiki for some shopping!
We went to church (just sacrament meeting) The building was absolutely beautiful. It was the Manoa ward the building was a Tabernacle and I see why! Steph and Cody went to the Apple store to get Stephanie's phone fixed. The kids were resting. Michael, Chris, Ryan and I went to Giovanni pastrami downtown Waikiki for lunch. We all spent most of the day at the pool relaxing. It's a holiday in Hawaii this weekend (King Kamehameha Day) we watched the parade then went to Cheese Burger Waikiki to eat dinner. We walked over to Waikiki and walked along the beach. We all got in the pool and goofed around. We had a blast. We were the only ones in the pool. I think we will all sleep good tonight. Tomorrow is Pearl Harbor. We've been there about three times but really wanted the kids and Cody and Steph to see it!

We left at 6:30am to catch the boat to Molokini.
We took the same boat as we had the last two times we went. (Four
Winds) The kids loved the slide and the snorkeling. We saw a ton of fish. They
had muffins and fruit on the way over. Once we dropped anchor at Molokini there
was a Bar-b-q on the boat. It was a blast! The adults all enjoyed the slide
into the ocean as well! Kru had fun then slept all the way back to shore. We hung
out at the resort and went to Whalers Village for dinner. Andrew came
with us.

Tuesday
Happy 84th Birthday Mom!
We went to Makena Beach for the day. It was a lot of fun. It was a little windy and cloudy but still a lot of sun breaks. Andrew seemed like he was getting better. The salt water was probably good for him. I'm sure he still hurts but he never complains and has a pretty high tolerance to pain. Everyone played in the water. Taylor, Ryan, and Kai were out there the most! Taylor is quite the little fish. They loved it; catching all the waves and snorkeling. Cody, Chris, and Andrew were out there quite a bit using boogie boards. Kru was still sleeping under the trees behind us. We kept getting him to drink a lot of water. We ate dinner at Ruby Tuesday's Kru was miserable and sleepy. We got back to the hotel got Kru cooled down gave him some Tylenol and soda crackers and he was out for the night.
Wednesday

Steph and Cody went to the Apple store to get Stephanie's phone fixed. The kids were resting. Michael, Chris, Ryan and I went to Giovanni pastrami downtown Waikiki for lunch. Monday
Happy Anniversary to us 41 years!! Best anniversary...being with all our kids and grandkids in Hawaii! We all went to Pearl Harbor today. Stephanie's family watched a documentary on it before we came to Hawaii. The memorial platform is damaged and they are repairing it so it was a bit different then other times. We watch a 25 minute movie about Pearl Harbor with actual footage and then the boat took us around the different places in the harbor it was actually really cool! It was very touching and important to see. We went to Giovanni's for lunch again. It was super good. We all hung out at the pool after. We fly home tomorrow morning.
